An Brú AC Club Notes Week Ending 30/07/18

More than 2,000 people took part in the Run Killarney half marathon and 10k last Saturday 28th of July. It was the 2nd time a club member who the half marathon with Niall O’Riordan winning it in 2017 and now Mike Carmody. Mike set a new course record of 1:08:01. Fantastic running Mike!.



There was also a 10k held on the same day and 4 members of the club ran in this event, It was another win for the club with Niall Shanahan winning the 10km in 32:24.Well done Niall another fantastic run!



Also running were James McMahon who ran the Half Marathon in 1:44, Nandor Abel who ran the Half Marathon in 1:52 and Mike Cremin who ran the 10km – 47:47. Great running everyone!


Irish Life Health National Senior Championships, Santry, Dublin
Well done to Sean Doyle who qualified for the final of the National 5000m in Santry, Dublin on Saturday evening with a PB of 15:07. Sean returned 24 hours later to finish in a fantastic 11th place suppassing the PB he set on Satruday with a time of 15:02
