An Brú Notes Weekending 12/08/18

Go Tri Shannon held their first 5k race last Wednesday evening the first race of their summer series. This is a Wednesday evening race series is a 4 race series taking place for the next 3 Wednesday evenings in Shannon, Co. Clare.
JJ Cremin ran it in 17:06 and was 4th man home with a PB and Sean Robinson also ran a PB of 19:41.

On Saturday morning our Learn to Run Group completed their 5k run in The Limerick Park Run in UL. Well done to everyone who ran in this event and thank you to Limerick Park Run organisers for this great event. We would also like to thank club members who came and ran and supported the runners.

That Saturday evening the club held a BBQ in Bruff Rugby Club and a special thanks to John O’Connell and the Committee for organising this event we hope everyone who came enjoyed the evening. Well done to Lisa Kirby and Roger Mulqueen on winning a voucher from Fairyhall Sports Therapy.A big thank you to trainers, Darragh Mulcahy, John Lynch and Ann Byrnes also.
 
Well done to John Lynch who ran the 8k Streets of Galway Run on Saturday evening with a PB of 44:51, John is in photo with Karen Quirke.
The East Cork Harbour Half Marathon took place on Saturday 11th of August, well done to Breda Bridges who ran it in 2:05 on a hilly wet course. Breda said it was a very well organized event.
 
Well done to Lisa Kirby also who completed the Learn to Run programme and ran her first 10k last Saturday in The East Cork Harbour 10k. Lisa ran it in 1:06, great running Lisa.
