The Ballyhoura Active series started on Friday night at the country club in Limerick, on a beautiful evening for running, as it was cool and not too much sunshine yet dry and bright. It was great to see all the club colours as each club took their pictures before the race set off. Numbers were up on the night, but Niall Shanahan An Bru AC still romped home well clear in 25.49 followed by Patrick O Connor An Riocht AC and Garry Scully Nenagh AC third. The first lady on the night was Shona Keane from Limerick Tri in a time of 30.56, in second was Niamh Hartnett from North Cork AC and third was Tracey Johnson from Dooneen AC.
