Buttevant RC notes
Well done to everyone who part in races last week, especially with the very hot conditions, it was not easy.
On Friday night, 5 Buttevant RC members travelled to Bruff for An Bru’s 5 mile road race for the 8th race of the Ballyhoura Active Series. Well done to Garry, Jack, Laura, Marie and Georgina.
Thanks to An Bru for a great race, welcome & spread afterwards!
The additional water stations on the race route were most welcome as the conditions were still very hot. Thought the sponges were a marvelous idea & were most welcome.
Monday night saw 5 more Buttevant RC members head to Dromcollogher for their 4 mile road race. Again some very hot race conditions so very well done to Katherine, Joanne, Janet, Martina and Betty.
Have to mention those of you who have gotten out to do training runs, well done. Lots of miles have been covered and all your hard work will be worth it.
Meeting Tuesday evenings. Please check our Facebook page & Twitter for details as to where training is starting from and what time.
Training times vary due to the hot weather.
With a break in the Ballyhoura Active Series, we will now be doing distance runs Thursday evening. Times will depend on the weather so watch out for meeting times.
Remember to drink water during the day and to bring water with you to training.
Hi Viz vests/bibs mandatory.
New Members always very welcome.
Best of luck to everyone taking part in races this week.
