Churchtown Road Runners Club Notes Week Ending 02.04.18

Last Saturday morning Liscarroll AC held their annual Easter 5k at Doneraile Park and were blessed with a beautiful spring morning.   Congratulations to all our Roadrunners who competed, some course pb’s achieved and great to see so many future little Roadrunners in action.  This weekend is a busy race schedule with races from Cork city to Co Clare, the Duhallow 10 mile, UCC 10k, Sonny Murphy 10 mile and the Shannon Duathlon, best of luck to all our roadrunners.
Easter Raffle & Club Kit
We held our Easter Raffle draw last Saturday evening, congratulations to our winners:

When we were all gathered we took the opportunity to make a presentation to club members Mike and Karen O’Halloran on the recent arrival of Penny – our Littlest Roadrunner.  What a cutie.
Easter Social
Club Chairman Brian Murphy retained the Roadrunner Bowling Trophy at our annual Easter Social, a lot more practise needed from the rest of us for next year.  We rounded the evening off with a few Easter drinks in Boss Murphys.
We are on Week Four of our six week mentoring session, where one of our more experienced members will be taking over training sessions on Tuesday and Thursdayevenings for our new and returning members.  If there are any members who are hoping to target a specific race or time during the spring and summer please do not hesitate in asking our Club Captains or any of our more experienced members for help and guidance.  Our 5K2Better programme will be returning in May.
