Last Saturday Katie Murphy and family flew the Roadrunners flag at the North Cork AC 5k at Doneraile Park, congratulations to all and great to see some future Roadrunners in the making.
This Sunday sees the renewal of the ever popular John Treacy Dungarvan 10 Mile, when we will have no less than eleven Roadrunners taking part, this is a fantastic achievement for our small club for the first high profile race of the year. We of course will be carpooling so please keep an eye on our social media accounts for details. This Sunday Scoil Mocheallog, Kilmallock are holding a 5k at 1.30pm, this course follows part of the same route at the Kilmallock 5 mile which is a lovely flat and fast course. Best of luck to all our Roadrunners this weekend, enjoy it!
There are a number of races and trail runs coming up in the next month, the Ballyorgan Trail run hosted by Kilmallock AC, North Cork AC 5k at Doneraile Park and the Adare 10k, which a number of our members are targeting. Despite the harsh weather we are having of late, attendance at our training sessions is great, if there are any members who are hoping to target a specific race or time during the spring and summer please do not hesitate in asking our Club Captains or any of our more experienced members for help and guidance.
We are delighted to say that most memberships have already being renewed, however for those of you who still haven’t had a chance, registration forms and payment can be given to Martina before or after any of our training sessions.
Please do not hesitate in joining us for any of our training sessions, obligation free. For more information please contact us directly through our Facebook page. Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm and Sunday at 10am, meeting near the playground at the GAA ground. Check us out on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thechurchtownroadrunnersac/
