kilmallock A.C Notes Week Ending 12/8/18

Community Games Finals 2018

This weekend the Community Games National finals take place in the University of Limerick and the Kilmallock/Bulgaden/Effin area will be represented by young Sean Maguire who takes part in the Under 12 600 metres. Sean who is the son of Eamonn Maguire and Roisin Howard won the Limerick regional competition and will represent his club and county in the semi final on Saturday with the final to follow on Sunday. Sean has been training hard for the last number of weeks under the guidance of coaches Nuala Collins and Tony McMahon @ the track in Chareville. He is following in the footsteps of his mother Roisin who in the not too distant past also represented her area in the community games finals. He will also be running on the newly resurfaced UL 400 metre track and has the distinction of being the first Kilmallock AC athlete  to do so. We wish Sean all the best in the finals and we know that wherever he places in the finals he will have given his all.
