Running Roundup

On Easter Monday Kilmallock AC runners made the short trip to Bruff to take part in the Bruff GAA 10K/5K Fun Run and they made it a successful raid with club runners filling 5 of the podium places in the two races. In the 10K our new recruit Janusz Chelstowski had a comfortable victory winning the race in a time of 40:20 approximately. Finishing second with a PB was Krzysztof Sikorski in 41:38. Also competing in the race was Maurice McEniry running  a fine PB of 46:32.

In the 5K PJ Carey had a narrow victory over club mate John Paul McCarthy in approximately 20:20 with Donie Dwane finishing third in 20:31 ensuring a clean sweep for the club of the podium places. Well done to all involved with good times and results.

Ros Run Marathon

On Saturday Patrick Roche edged closer to the milestone figure of 100 completed marathons when he completed the Ros Run Marathon in Roscommon town on Easter Saturday. Patrick finished in a time of 5:11:32 also finishing first in his category in the process. Next up is a double header in UL next week which on completion will see Him reach 100. We wish him all the well in this great achievement which has taken him only slightly over 3 years to complete.
